Energetic Exercises
Anyone can practice energetic exercises. Energetic exercises have their basis in ancient culture, commonly ascribed to the ancient Indian culture. The ancestral origins of energy work have revealed themselves to be widespread. Energy practices go back to ancient Dravidan, Tamil, Vedic, Egypt (Kemet or Nubia), Greek, Druid, the Mayan and Inca civilizations of the Americas, as well as, the eastern Asian communities of China, Tibet, Cambodia, and Thailand. Ancient Egyptian or Kemetic energy exercises are expressed in the spiritual texts and artwork found in their ancient tombs and temples. On wall paintings we see figures in positions that we now know to be various yoga, or Taijiquan postures. The earliest surviving physical depictions of energy postures were found at Mohenjo-Daro and Harappa, engraved on small seals some 50,000 years ago. Antediluvian funeral and creation stories reflect the elemental aim of yoga-balance, harmony and universal order. Many systems have evolved, demonstrating myriads of methods of integrating ones spirit, mind and body.
At StarlitePhi we have the internal health practices called energetic exercises. They are a combination of Hatha-Yoga, Tai-Chi Chuan, Qi-Gong, Baguazhang, Xingyiquan, and Ki exercises from Aikido. We combines Dravidian, Kemetic, and Taoist Yoga plus Qi-Gong, and Tai-Chi Chuan principles used in a way that any person between the ages of 4 and 90 can practice it and receive a benefit.
Systems divide into four parts: standing, ground, breathing and sitting practices. These system approach has been successfully used in academic (pre-school to University level), clinical environments, and governmental agencies (law enforcement, city, state and federal).

Yoga
Hatha Yoga is a general term for physical fitness yoga. There are several styles of yoga that have evolved over 5000 years. Yoga is one of the elements employed under Ayurvedic Medicine. Hatha Yoga is said to date back to circa 150 A.D. It is known as the “forceful or determined effort yoga.” The two words are derived from combining the Sanskrit roots “Ha” referring to solar or masculine polar aspect, “Ta” meaning lunar or feminine polar aspect and “Yug” meaning yoke, bind, -to direct one’s attention to, to use and apply. The two terms together denote the unification of opposite, or the balancing of positive and negative energy for the purpose of making the body fit. In this yoga practice, the union or reintegration of opposing forces occurs, the mind and body can reintegrate and restore balance.
Qi-Gong
There are several thousand different exercises found under this Chinese system of medicine and healing arts. It predates Tai-Chi Chuan, in that it is believed to be over 2,000 years old. It is the foundation for Tai-Chi Chuan. Passive Qi-Gong shares many of the therapeutic potentials akin to meditation. Active Chi Kung shares many of the therapeutic potentials akin to Tai-Chi Chuan.
Qi-Gong exercises have therapeutic potentials comparable to Tai-Chi Chuan and Yoga.
Tai-Chi Chuan
Known as the “grand ultimate exercise”. Considered by some as “mediation in motion,” this soft or non-combative form of martial arts is believed to have a history spanning over 15 centuries. It had its beginning as a form of Qi-Gong. It is low-impact and is the most widely practiced form of exercise in the world by the young and not-so-young.
